How Black Business Owners Can Weather the COVID Storm

New America Indianapolis and The Indianapolis Recorder are both committed to ensuring that the perspectives of Black Midwesterners are represented and engaged in solving public problems. The COVID-19 outbreak is impacting all Americans but it will, quite simply, impact Black America differently. Systemic barriers and racism have set the stage — we cannot respond to the crisis without facing those barriers explicitly and as a community.

Join us for “COVID and the Black Community” a weekly online community conversation series, co-hosted by New America and the Recorder, and featuring local and national experts and resources. The second in the series will be a workshop on Tuesday April 7 from 2:00-3:30PM EST: “How Black Business Owners Can Weather the COVID Storm.” Local leaders will discuss challenges facing and share resources explicitly supporting Black-owned businesses during and following the COVID-19 crisis.

Registration is free and open to all.
